Charles Carey joined the Chadron State College Music Faculty in 2008 as the guitar and bass studies instructor. He has been a professional musician since age 12 where he held the guitar chair for the Burt Reynolds Dinner Theater in Jupiter, Florida for 7 years. He has toured with Carol Channing, Rosemary Clooney, Sherry Lewis, and Joel Gray. Carey has also performed with many outstanding musicians including: Eric Clapton, Scott Henderson, Nico McBrain, Fractal, Electrolust, Boca Symphonic Pops, Palm Beach Symphony, Larry Coryell, Frank Sinatra Jr., Gary Lewis and the Playboys, the Temptations, The Platters, KC and the Sunshine Band, The Coasters, Randy Bernson, Paul Wertico, and Dennis Marks. He regularly performs in the Rapid City area and works nationally as a performer and clinician at various music festivals.
