A native of Connecticut, Dr. Una Taylor joined the faculty at Chadron State College in 2006 as head of vocal studies. An accomplished and versatile musician, she has performed as a soloist, recitalist, and accompanist throughout New England as well as here in Nebraska.
Dr. Taylor has been involved in teaching music in a variety of capacities during her career. In addition to ten years experience teaching in the public schools at the middle and high school level, she taught on the faculty of the Community School for the Arts at the University of Connecticut as a private vocal and piano instructor as well as on the music faculty at Central Connecticut State University.
A dedicated music educator, Dr. Taylor has served as vocal adjudicator and chairperson for many choral festivals in her home state of Connecticut, New England, Nebraska, and the western states. A long-time member of ACDA, she has served on the Nebraska Choral Directors’ Association board as Community Choirs Repertoire and Standards chair and Women’s Choirs Chair from 2006 – 2010.
