In cooperation with the Small Business Administration (SBA), Veterans Assistance and Services Program (VASP), Chadron State College (CSC) provides an opportunity for active duty military, National Guard, reservists, and veterans to learn more about the process of starting and operating a small business. Upon successful completion of the course, participants will know how the small business process works, and they will have hands-on working knowledge of business plan development and managing a small business.
The program consists of a single, completely online, three-credit course. This course is open to all active duty military, National Guard, reservists, and veterans. Previous enrollment at Chadron State College is not required, and participants may enroll as non-degree seeking or degree seeking students for either undergraduate or graduate credit. (See Introductory Video below.)
Given the special challenges for active military taking college courses, the Nebraska Business Development Center (NBDC) and Chadron State College have structured the course to be self-paced and may be completed in as short as eight weeks or as long as 52 weeks.
