International graduate students meeting established academic standards for the Non-resident Scholars Program (NRS) are charged “Nebraska resident” tuition (50% of the standard international student tuition.). This program is available to all new graduate international applicants who enroll in campus-based courses and who have submitted documentation supporting at least one of the below criteria.
Once Chadron State College receives an applicant’s admission application, supporting documentation, and official transcripts, college personnel will review the materials to determine applicant’s eligibility for the scholarship. Applicant’s do not need to apply for the Non-resident Scholars Program. Qualified applicants will be awarded the scholarship automatically and informed by mail and/or email.
Students who do not meet the above criteria as a new applicant will be awarded the scholarship automatically if they achieve a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA while at CSC.
On a competitive basis, Chadron State College awards a limited number of International Student Tuition Waivers to qualified new international undergraduate degree-seeking students. Waivers are equal to one-half of Nebraska resident tuition for up to 16 enrolled credit hours per semester for a maximum of 8 consecutive fall and spring semesters for entering freshmen and 4 consecutive fall and spring semesters for entering transfer students.
Qualifying Criteria and Eligibility: Only complete applications will be considered.
A one page typewritten or printed essay describing the applicant’s background, significant experiences, unusual challenges or hardships, future personal and professional goals, and a description of distinguished achievements must accompany the application to be considered complete. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
