Student Learning Outcomes

  • Develop mathematical ability and knowledge of the depth and breadth of mathematics.
  • Communicate about and with mathematics.
  • Use technology to support problem solving and promote understanding.
  • Apply the mathematical sciences, including statistics, in other academic disciplines.

The Degree of Bachelor of Science with a Subject Major in Mathematics

A student must complete the following program in addition to Essential Studies and graduation literacy requirements and a major or minor in another area. Transfer students must complete at least one-half of the major at Chadron State College. An unduplicated course from upper division courses (excluding MATH 335) in mathematics will be taken to satisfy the Essential Studies mathematics requirement

A student must complete the following program in addition to the Essential Studies, graduation literacy and Professional Education requirements. Transfer students must complete on-half of the program at Chadron State College. MATH 239 will be taken to satisfy the Essential Studies Mathematics requirements.
