Museum and Archives Preservation Society (MAPS)

The Purpose of MAPS is to:

• Increase an awareness of the function of Museums and the preservation of objects and archives within the CSC student body and surrounding communities
• Promote the application of knowledge associated with preservation of museum-related and historical objects, as well as methodology associated with archival documentation and storage practices

So what that really means is – We are people committed to the preservation of stuff. We are people committed to museums. We are people who are committed to telling other people, in particular students, about the importance of museums and saving their stuff and how to properly save their stuff. Membership is open to CSC students and community members.
