CSC Escribes

Students are chosen to facilitate open educational initiatives on campus. Escribes receive training on copyright, licensing, OER, the Open.Chadron initiative and the eScribe methodology. Escribes main responsibilities include:

  • eScribes (faculty, student, or staff) connect with Open.Chadron & develop plan to collaborate
  • eScribes gather & license content then solicit & license content from collaborators
  • eScribes identify & document copyright concerns, then fine & create new open content
  • eScribes make necessary edits to the material, add metadata, license information etc..
