To register for classes a student must complete the online application process first. Once your application has been processed you will be assigned a Ready to Register form on your MyCSC To-Do list. Students are encouraged to begin this process no later than 30 days prior to the start of the term/session they wish to begin.
Completion of the application, the Ready to Register form and documentation of all official transcripts are required prior to enrollment.
Transfer students enrolling at Chadron State College will be assigned the catalog in effect for their peer classification at Chadron State College. All students may choose to follow a catalog published subsequent to their enrollment. Please see the catalog page.
All students seeking degrees from Chadron State College are assigned to advisors in their academic program area. The START advising team will be your advisor until you are officially assigned an academic advisor following the beginning of your first term of enrollment.
For optimal course selection, transfer students are encouraged to register early for the fall and spring semesters. Transfer students may register for a full academic year rather than semester by semester. This allows students to better plan their course selection.
Chadron State College reserves the right to withdraw courses with low enrollment. Furthermore, the college reserves the right to modify the published program.
Students are required to provide official transcripts, prior to enrollment. Once enrollment requirements are submitted, a student is assigned the "Ready to Register" form to complete to request enrollment for their first semester/session. Upon receipt of the Ready to Register form, the student's official transcripts are evaluated by the CSC Records Office and the student's Degree Audit within MyCSC is updated (in-progress transfer work is not reflected on the Degree Audit). This can take up to 7-10 business days.
If a student has in-progress work at the time the transcript was evaluated, the Degree Audit will be updated when the final, official transcript is received reflecting final grades and degrees earned.
Students who have questions or concerns about their Degree Audit should contact the START office at firstname.lastname@example.org or 308-432-6311.
Responsibility for planning one's course of study and the fulfillment of all requirements and regulations lies with the student. Faculty advisors are assigned to aid the student in understanding the requirements and in planning their academic program. The college catalog is the authoritative source of information on program and graduation requirements and regulations. Complete course prerequisites, limitation and information is included in the CSC catalog under course descriptions.
