CSC Mission Statement

CSC Financial Aid Mission Statement

To assist each student to the best of our ability in reaching their educational goals with the financial programs available. To provide personalized, quality service in an accurate, timely and equitable manner, in a way that also compliments CSC's recruitment and retention efforts. To uphold the integrity of the programs and the institution, while protecting the institution from financial liabilities.

Chadron State Eagle Rate

The Chadron State Eagle Rate is a new low tuition rate for out-of-state students. Learn more at the Chadron State Eagle Rate page.

CSC Payment Policy

Students become obligated and agree to pay all academic charges for individual sessions when they register for each term. Charges including tuition, fees, room, and meal plans are due on or before the 13th day after each session start date (Applies to all sessions four weeks in length and longer). Miscellaneous charges such as parking and library fines are due when assessed.

Payment Options:

  • Online payment (MasterCard, Visa, or Discover) through your MyCSC account
  • Cash, check or money order
  • CSC Payment Plans (contact CSC Business Office)
  • Financial aid/scholarship disbursements/applied to student accounts by due date
  • Proof of other external resources such as Vocational Rehabilitation, BIA, etc.

Financial Aid: All financial aid requirements MUST be completed and disbursed to student account to use as a payment option. If financial aid is not enough to cover the student account, student must pay or make payment arrangements for the remaining balance by the payment due date(s).

All payment arrangements are made with the Business Office staff.

Consequences for missing payment due date:

A 2% late payment fee, which will not exceed $100, may be assessed on the account balance and the student will be responsible for these changes. This also includes the following:

  • Payment, payment arrangements, proof of external resources not received by payment due date.
  • Financial aid not disbursed or is not ready to disburse by the payment due date.

Holds will be placed on the student account blocking future enrollment, transcript requests, and refunds until account balance due is paid.

Consequences for failing to pay outstanding balance exceeding $150:

  • No longer eligible to enroll for future terms.
  • On December 1st, April 15th and August 1st, student with outstanding balances for the current term will be dropped from future terms if enrolled and/or will be blocked from enrollment for future terms.
  • Transcripts will be held.
  • Account turned over to collections.

Late Registration Fee

  • Students registering/adding course(s) after the Add Period will be assessed a $25 late registration fee.
